WELCOME!

We're on a mission to play games to help change kids' health. We've each chosen our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. With 170 hospitals to chose from, each location treats thousands of kids annually, regardless of their illness, injury or family's ability to pay.

HOW DOES EXTRA LIFE WORK?

Now, more than ever, local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals need our help.

Our Northern Colorado based team is uniting with thousands of gamers on Saturday, November 2 to play games, fundraise, and change kid's health to change the future.

Donations through this page stay at my local Children's Hospital, Children's Hospital Colorado.  Last year Extra Life fundraising helped raise nearly $150,000 alone for our local Children's Hospital.

Extra Life is a Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals fundraising program within the gaming community. Participants fundraise year-round and pledge to game for 24 hours with one goal: to save and improve the lives of sick and injured kids. Funds raised stay local to help pediatric patients at 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across North America. The movement, formed by gamers bonded by passion, is committed to saving and improving the lives of local kids.  Since inception in 2008, more than $120 million has been raised for Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals.

Extra Life was started after an Orange, Texas, radio station connected with Victoria, a young girl battling leukemia. The station was able to donate video games to help Victoria and other patients whose illnesses required an extended stay at the hospital. Unfortunately, after four years and several relapses, Victoria lost her battle. Jeromy “Doc” Adams wanted to honor Victoria’s life and created Extra Life, a way for gamers to raise money doing something they love. On October 15, 2008, the first Extra Life event was held. Over 1,200 gamers showed up, and news of the event spread. In 2010, Extra Life officially became a CMN Hospitals program.

Victoria's story, and many more like it locally at our nearby Children's Hospital Colorado are why we continue to support this great organization.

HOW YOUR DONATION HELPS

The CMN has raised over $78 Million since 2008. You may think that's a lot of money. You may think that there's no need for more, but you'd be mistaken. Every year, the Children's Miracle Network spends BILLIONS (yes, billions with a 'B'!) of dollars on patient care. Most of those funds are raised one dollar at a time.

So rest assured, even if it seems like a drop in the bucket, your dollars CAN and DO make a difference, and best of all, by donating through our team, they'll stay in Colorado to help our local kids by funding critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.

Please be a part of our story as we continue to grow and support our community. After all, chances are good that you know someone whose life has been saved or otherwise positively impacted by the efforts of the Children's Hospital of Colorado - even if you aren't from Colorado! To continue doing great things, The Children's Hospital of Colorado Foundation needs OUR, and YOUR help!
